We ask ourselves is this the new America…. If you are a person of color then we say no. From early childhood we are bombarded with pictures and videos of black and brown people being bit by dogs sprayed by water hoses and beaten by police.

This particular picture captions what America has been for many years. Ask yourself who is this black man being attacked by these white. This black man is a lawyer who worked for city. This attack happened right outside the city building. Scenes like this as black and brown folk have been in our minds forever. Even in recent years with protest for George Floyd and multiple other black men and women has been met with extreme animosity. Like black and brown humans don’t have the right to be upset about injustice. I could spend many hours about the different situations we as black and brown people deal with daily that our counterparts of the community does not have to deal with. The moment Barack Obama was elected we saw a change in the way people viewed other races. Even the “Race Problem” has never went away the tactics just changed. Moving forward to Trump in office the man is trying to be the polar opposite of President Obama and Biden. I am not stating these men are the greatest Presidents to ever live, But President Trump does not carry himself with dignity. The people he publicly associates with. The way he spends government funds, letting unelected officials have unprecedented access to American data. How publicly tries to shame other officials and hate them to his “Deals”. Up to this point I.C.E is running rampart through American cities with the authority to treat tax paying American citizens how they feel. Non people of color are feeling the sting of people who look like them being beat by I.C.E. Non people of color are now experiencing how it feels to see someone who looks like your sister, brother, mother being killed on television and the person responsible has no consequences. How much more can we take as a nation to let billionaire out of touch good ol boy system type of people ruin the America we all fought for. Just remember we knew who Donald trump was before he got into office and we as a nation decided it was ok because he was a person that’s was white and he was not a woman..
